VAULTWORK CONTENT POLICY
Vaultwork exists to help people share business ideas publicly so that others can discover and build upon them.
This Content Policy describes content that is not permitted on Vaultwork. It applies to Ideas, titles, descriptions, links, images, attachments, communications, and other content submitted through Vaultwork.
1. Intellectual Property
Do not submit:
copyrighted articles, reports, books, presentations, images, research, or other materials you do not have permission to use;
substantial copied passages from third-party materials;
content falsely presented as your own;
material that infringes another person’s copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property rights.
You may describe facts, concepts, markets, and ideas using your own original expression. The fact that another person has had a similar business idea does not, by itself, mean the idea may not be discussed on Vaultwork.
2. Confidential Information and Trade Secrets
Do not submit:
trade secrets;
information subject to an NDA;
confidential employer information;
confidential client information;
unreleased product plans obtained through a confidential relationship;
private pricing, customer lists, credentials, source code, internal documents, or other information you are not authorized to disclose.
If information was entrusted to you in confidence, Vaultwork is not the place to publish it.
3. Personal Information and Doxxing
Do not publish another person’s sensitive or private information without lawful authority. Prohibited information includes, where applicable:
passwords;
authentication credentials;
Social Security numbers;
financial-account numbers;
private home addresses;
private telephone numbers;
non-public personal identification documents;
intimate images;
private medical information; or
other information posted for harassment, intimidation, fraud, or identity theft.
4. Fraud and Deception
Do not use Vaultwork to promote or facilitate:
scams;
phishing;
impersonation;
identity theft;
payment fraud;
fake businesses;
fraudulent documents;
deceptive schemes;
money laundering;
deliberate tax evasion;
circumvention of sanctions; or
other unlawful financial conduct.
5. False or Misleading Claims
Do not knowingly make materially false claims about:
yourself;
another person;
your credentials;
ownership or authorship of content;
business performance;
customer relationships;
revenue;
profitability;
market evidence; or
other facts relevant to the Idea.
Opinions, estimates, hypotheses, and projections should not be presented as established facts when they are not.
6. Earnings and Guaranteed-Outcome Claims
Do not describe an Idea using deceptive or unsupported claims such as:
“guaranteed income”;
“guaranteed profit”;
“risk-free money”;
“anyone will make $10,000 per month”;
“proven six-figure income” where that claim cannot be substantiated; or
similar representations of guaranteed financial success.
You may discuss potential business models, economics, hypotheses, estimates, or market opportunities if appropriately identified as estimates or opinions rather than guaranteed outcomes.
7. Securities and Investment Solicitations
Vaultwork is not a securities marketplace or crowdfunding platform. Do not use an Idea submission to:
offer securities;
solicit investments;
sell equity;
sell investment contracts;
conduct a token or coin offering;
raise money through an unlawful securities offering; or
provide individualized investment advice requiring regulatory authorization.
You may describe a business concept that could someday seek financing, but Vaultwork itself may not be used as the investment offering.
8. Illegal Goods, Services, and Conduct
Do not submit Ideas whose principal purpose is to facilitate unlawful conduct. This includes businesses primarily designed to facilitate:
trafficking in illegal drugs;
unlawful weapons transactions;
stolen property;
counterfeit goods;
hacking or unauthorized computer access;
malware;
extortion;
human trafficking;
illegal gambling;
evasion of law enforcement; or
other illegal activity.
An Idea discussing a regulated industry for lawful business purposes is not automatically prohibited, but Vaultwork may restrict content presenting substantial legal or safety risk.
9. Harmful or Abusive Content
Do not submit content that:
credibly threatens violence;
promotes targeted harassment;
encourages serious physical harm;
sexually exploits minors;
promotes terrorism or violent extremist activity; or
is otherwise unlawful.
10. Spam and Manipulation
Do not:
submit substantially identical Ideas repeatedly;
use automated systems to flood Vaultwork with content;
manipulate engagement metrics;
submit irrelevant advertising disguised as an Idea;
use deceptive redirects; or
distribute malware or malicious links.
11. Impersonation
Do not impersonate another person, company, organization, government entity, or public figure in a manner likely to deceive users.
12. Regulated Professional Advice
Vaultwork is a business-idea discovery platform. Do not present content as individualized legal, medical, tax, securities, or other regulated professional advice unless you are legally authorized to provide that advice and all applicable requirements are satisfied.
13. The Idea Does Not Have to Be Unique
Vaultwork does not require an Idea to be globally unique. Two people may independently develop similar or identical business concepts. Do not submit false intellectual-property complaints merely because another user posted an idea similar to yours.
14. Enforcement
Vaultwork may:
reject a submission;
remove content;
restrict access;
request edits or additional information;
preserve relevant records;
prohibit future submissions; or
report conduct to appropriate authorities where legally required or reasonably necessary.
Enforcement decisions may consider context, severity, risk, recurrence, and applicable law.
