A Lending Library for Household Tools

The idea

Everyone on my street owns a ladder or a drill that sits unused most of the year, but when you actually need one you end up buying it anyway because asking around feels awkward. I want a small shed or locker at the end of the block where neighbors can drop off tools they're willing to lend, with a simple sign-out sheet or barcode scan so nothing gets lost. No app required, just a shared cabinet and some trust, maybe run by whoever's willing to hold the spare key.
