A Warranty Reminder for the Junk Drawer

The idea

I have a drawer full of receipts and warranty cards for stuff I bought over the years, and I only think about them once something breaks, by which point the warranty is long expired. I want to snap a photo of the receipt when I buy something and have it remembered for me, then get a text a few weeks before the warranty runs out asking if the thing still works. If it's broken, it should tell me exactly what paperwork I need and where to send it, instead of me digging through a drawer at 11pm.
